EVERYTHING PEP GUARDIOLA SAID AHEAD OF WOLVES

Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 15 points tonight by beating Wolves in a tight contest.

City have made it 21 wins in a row now, moving another three points clear of Manchester United - for 24 hours at least - as they continue to take complete control of the title race.

Wolves did the double over City last season and defended well against the Blues just as Pep Guardiola predicted they would. Guardiola made six changes to his side from the West Ham win, bringing back the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Joao Cancelo, Rodri and Raheem Sterling.

City took the lead in a dominant first half, Leander Dendoncker scoring an own goal under pressure from Raheem Sterling. Conor Coady equalised after the break, but City responded well, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez scoring late on. Jesus was given a second with the last kick after a VAR review.
